This page explains what information we collect through this website and when you work with us, why we collect it, and what we do with it, in plain English.

Who we are

Team Rivera is a real estate team, Steven Rivera and Rose Rivera, with Keller Williams Points North. When this policy says "we" or "us," that is who we mean. When it says "you," we mean anyone who visits this site, contacts us, or works with us as a client.

What we collect

What you give us. When you send the form on this site, you give us your name, email, and anything else you choose to add: a phone number, what you want to do, a property address, your timeline, and a message. When you call, text, or email us, we keep that conversation. If you become a client, we collect what the transaction needs, such as property details, showing schedules, and the documents that go with an offer, a listing, or a closing.

What your browser tells us. Like any website, this one logs basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps, to keep the site running and secure. While you browse, the site also remembers in your browser session which page you arrived on, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link. If you send the form, those details go with it so we know how you found us. They are cleared when you close the tab.

What we do with it

• To answer you. Replying to your request by phone, text, or email, and setting up a consultation, a valuation, or a showing.
• To do the work. Listing and marketing a home, searching for a home, preparing offers, and coordinating a sale through closing.
• To run the business. Record keeping, compliance with real estate law, and resolving any disputes.
• To improve the site. Understanding which pages people use and how they found us.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. If that ever changes, we will change this policy first.

Who we share it with

• Keller Williams Points North, our brokerage, which keeps transaction records as New York real estate law requires.
• Google, for email and for the spreadsheet where form requests are recorded.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• The other people in your transaction, such as attorneys, lenders, inspectors, and the other agent, only as your purchase or sale requires or as you ask us to.

We may also share information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights and our clients.

Cookies and browser storage

The site keeps the visit details described above in your browser's session storage, not in a cookie, and they are gone when you close the tab. You can block or clear site data in your browser settings.

Our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated submissions. It runs in the background, may set a cookie for that purpose, and sends Cloudflare technical details about your browser and connection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

Your choices

• Access and correction. Ask what we have about you, and tell us to fix anything that is wrong.
• Deletion. Ask us to delete it, subject to the records real estate law requires us to keep.
• Stop hearing from us. Tell us by reply, text, or email and we will stop reaching out.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, including encrypted connections and limited access. No system is perfect, and if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. The effective date at the top shows when the current version went live.
