Orient is a hamlet in the Town of Southold, at the eastern tip of Long Island's North Fork. Main Road runs out through East Marion to reach it, and past the hamlet the road ends at Orient Point.

The water is never far. Orient Harbor sits along the south side of the hamlet, and Orient Beach State Park stretches along a narrow strip of land on Gardiners Bay, with a beach and open shoreline. At Orient Point, the Cross Sound Ferry runs to New London, Connecticut. Farm stands along the roads sell what the surrounding fields grow.

Orient's housing includes older houses near the historic center of the hamlet, farmhouses among the fields, and cottages and homes near the water, along with some newer builds. There is a mix of year round homes and seasonal ones. Older homes can come with their own questions about age and systems, and homes near the water can raise questions about flood zones and insurance, so we help buyers and sellers plan for them early.

Orient has no LIRR station; the Greenport station, a short drive west, is the nearest. Team Rivera now serves Orient from our HQ in Saint James, and we come out for showings, valuations, and listing appointments all the way to the eastern end of the North Fork.
