Greenport is an incorporated village in the Town of Southold, near the eastern end of Long Island's North Fork. It grew up around its harbor, and the harbor is still a working one, with the ferry to Shelter Island running from the village.

The village center sits along Front Street and Main Street, close to the water, with shops and restaurants on both. Mitchell Park runs along the harbor beside it, with a marina and a carousel.

Greenport's housing reflects its long history as a harbor village. Victorian era houses and other older village homes line the streets back from the water, and the village has a historic district. There are smaller cottages as well, some homes with harbor views, and, outside the village line, houses on larger lots in the surrounding parts of the Town of Southold. Across the area there is a mix of year round homes and seasonal ones. Historic homes can come with their own questions about age, systems, and maintenance, and we help buyers and sellers plan for them early.

The Greenport station is the end of the LIRR line that runs out the North Fork. By car, Main Road runs west from the village through Southold and Mattituck toward Riverhead and the end of the Long Island Expressway.
