Mattituck is a hamlet in the Town of Southold, toward the western end of the town on Long Island's North Fork. Main Road runs through it, and just off Main Road, Love Lane is a short street of shops and restaurants near the Mattituck station.

The hamlet reaches from Long Island Sound to Peconic Bay. On the north side, Mattituck Inlet opens from the Sound, with boats docked along it. To the south, the land runs down to the bay. Farmland and vineyards fill much of the ground in between.

Housing in Mattituck covers a lot of ground. Older homes sit near Love Lane and Main Road, farmhouses stand among the fields, and cottages and water view homes are found near the Sound, the inlet, and the bay. Newer builds on former farmland add to the range, and there is a mix of year round homes and seasonal ones. The Mattituck station is on the LIRR line that runs out to Greenport, and Main Road runs west toward Riverhead and the end of the Long Island Expressway.
