Jamesport is a hamlet in the Town of Riverhead, on Long Island's North Fork, a short drive east of downtown Riverhead. Main Road runs through the hamlet, lined with shops, restaurants, and older buildings.

South of Main Road, the land runs down to Peconic Bay, where a bay beach looks out over the water. Farms and vineyards spread across the land around the hamlet, and farm stands along the roads sell what they grow in season.

Jamesport's housing mixes older homes along Main Road, farmhouses among the fields, and cottages and water view homes near Peconic Bay, along with newer builds on land that was once farmland. There is a mix of year round homes and seasonal ones. Lots range from village size to open acreage, so we compare each house with sales that match its setting.

Jamesport has no LIRR station of its own; the Riverhead and Mattituck stations are the nearest. Main Road leads west to downtown Riverhead and the end of the Long Island Expressway, and of the North Fork towns we cover, Jamesport is the closest to the expressway.
